About the author: Sally M. Foster studied medieval archaeology at University College London; completed a PhD at University of Glasgow; worked for RCAHMS & Historic Scotland; lecturer at University of Glasgow; established a business named AbleMinds; and joined Aberdeen University as a lecturer in archaeology in September 2011.
The 1st ed. was published in 1996. Birlinn published a new ed. in 2014, reprinted 2017, 2019; some updated text, but no color pics.
